Project Help - 2011-2012
Every month at Briarlake Church we collect items to provide assistance for one of our ministry partners. You can place these items in one of the Project Help Boxes found all over campus, or you can drop them off at the church office during the week. Money may be given for any of these projects.
September: Friends of Refugees - bags of groceries and personal hygiene items
October: Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas Child (fill 500+ shoe boxes), ALSO desserts for the Baptist Collegiate Ministries picnic for International students on October 15. Have desserts at church by noon October 14. NetWorks needs pop-top canned foods and individually wrapped snack foods.
November: Andrew P. Stewart Center “Christmas for the children” (contact: Maxine Chesser); ALSO Stone Mountain Park Ministry – chapstick and HotHands-2 hand warmers.
December: Atlanta Pregnancy Resource Center – newborn diapers, wipes, Similac, Enfamil, and money to purchase cribs.
January: N.E.T. - 18oz jars of creamy Peanut Butter and bars of soap.
February: Georgia State Baptist Collegiate Ministries – Instant rice, instant potatoes, cake or brownie mixes, and paper goods (napkins, cups, plates, paper towels)
March: Stone Mountain Health Advocate/Nurse ministry to workers – Bags of individually wrapped hard candies (no chocolate), $5 gift cards to Subway, McDonald’s, Burger King, Chic-fil-A, Taco Bell, Band-aids (regular & large sizes), Ibuprofen caplets, not gel-caps (2 large bottles), Acetaminophen tablets not gel-caps (2 large bottles)
April: Stokes Group Home – Paper goods, cleaning supplies and toiletry items for ladies
May: Project HELP: Wellspring Living - Bounty paper towels, Pocket folders, Blank note cards, Kroger, WalMart, or gas gift cards
June: Briarlake Men’s Group Home - Paper goods, cleaning supplies and food staples
July: Georgia Baptist Children’s Home - Food items (list will be furnished later) and gift cards for groceries.
August: Andrew P. Stewart Center – Non-sugar sweetened drink mixes, paper towels
Please note the Ministry name on all items and place them in the Sunday School Records Room (C268), in boxes located throughout the Briarlake campus or take them to the Church office.
Your gifts help these groups use their funds for their other needs.
