Project Help

Every month at Briarlake Church we collect items to provide assistance for one of our ministry partners. You can place these items in one of the Project Help Boxes found all over campus, or you can drop them off at the church office during the week. Money may be given for any of these projects. 

EVERY MONTH
N.E.T. Food Pantry: To help provide food for families in need in our community, you can provide 18 oz. jars of creamy peanut butter and bar soap. There are many people in our community who need this assistance because of our current economic climate. We focus on the N.E.T. Food Pantry in May, but we need donations all year long.


JANUARY
Georgia State Baptist Collegiate Ministries:
You can provide items needed to make meals for students during the year: Paper goods, cake mixes, instant potatoes, instant rice.

FEBRUARY
Atlanta Pregnancy Resource Center: You can provide kit items as a part of Project HELP: small cardboard books, onesies, bibs, booties, and zip bags. Project HELP emphasizes reading to children from the beginning of their lives.

MARCH
Stone Mountain Ministries: Many items are needed for children’s day camps and special events: Markers, paper towels, paper sacks, beads for bracelets, construction paper, baby wipes, New Testaments (English & Spanish) foam art shapes, foam sheets.

APRIL
Briarlake Group Home: You can support this ministry by providing paper goods and toiletry items for ladies.

MAY
N.E.T. Food Pantry: To help provide food for families in need in our community, you can provide 18 oz. jars of creamy peanut butter and bar soap.

JUNE
Stone Mountain Ministries: Many items are needed for children’s day camps and special events during this busy time of the year: Markers, paper towels, paper sacks, beads for bracelets, construction paper, baby wipes, New Testaments (English & Spanish) foam art shapes, foam sheets.

JULY
Stewart Center: Lunch is needed during the summer for children in day camps. Volunteer to provide and serve lunch one day during July.
Georgia Baptist Children’s Home: You can provide food items and gift cards for groceries for the precious children served by this ministry.

AUGUST
Stewart Center:There are many needs in this community as school starts again. You can help by providing school supplies, sweetened drink mixes, 39 gallon or larger trash bags, paper plates & cups, wrapped snacks, gas cards and Kroger gift cards.

SEPTEMBER
Mobile Home Community Ministry (Gwinnett Metro Baptist Association): You can help by providing drink boxes, individually wrapped snacks, construction paper, foam sheets, crayons, markers, glue, glue sticks.
Stone Mountain Ministries: Many items are needed for children’s day camps and special events: Markers, paper towels, paper sacks, beads for bracelets, construction paper, baby wipes, New Testaments (English & Spanish) foam art shapes, foam sheets.

OCTOBER
Samaritan's Purse—Operation Christmas Child: Purchase items needed and pack shoeboxes to be given to children in poverty-stricken countries. You will have the opportunity to bring your shoeboxes forward during all worship services on the ingathering date, to be announced as soon as it is available.
Georgia State Baptist Collegiate Ministries—Picnic for International Students: You can help by providing home-cooked desserts for this important event at Stone Mountain Park that welcomes international students.
Friends of Refugees: Many refugee families are housed in the Clarkston area and need temporary help with basic needs. You can help by providing a grocery bag of food. Bags and lists of needed items will be available in October.

NOVEMBER
Stewart Center—Christmas for the Children: Many families in the Reynoldstown community cannot afford to buy Christmas presents for their children. You can help by sponsoring a specific child (purchasing and wrapping presents for your assigned child). 

DECEMBER
Stone Mountain Ministries: Help this ministry provide goodie bags for 20 campground employees by contributing packages of hot cocoa mix, international coffee, homemade cookies/bread, $20-$25 gift cards (Subway, Wal-mart, Red Lobster, etc.), and all-year devotional books for adults and teens.
