Operation Christmas Child is a global outreach project run by Samaritan's Purse, an international relief organization. The program involves packing shoeboxes with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other gifts, which are then distributed to children in need around the world. Along with the gifts, children also receive Christian literature, and local churches often use the distribution events to share the gospel. The initiative allows participants to contribute to a tangible expression of love during the Christmas season while spreading hope and joy to children in difficult circumstances.
As a church, our goal is to pack 1,000 boxes this year! Click here for a list of gifts to put in a shoebox. Church members are welcome to bring their boxes and turn them in during worship on November 16th. From November 17th-24th we need your help! We need both adults and students to help collect boxes from the community. Click the link below to sign up and serve during collection week!
