LIFE GROUPS

Sunday morning Life Groups begin at 9:45 AM.

At Briarlake Church, Life Groups are the key way to grow in your faith alongside others. Life Groups offer an opportunity to study the Bible, grow lasting friendships and serve others in Jesus’ name.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We believe at Briarlake Church that intentional relationships are key to sustained spiritual growth. That's why Life Groups are an important part of our discipleship strategy. In a Life Group, people study God's word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.

  • What is a Life Group?

Life Groups are authentic communities that are growing in their relationship with Christ while connecting with others.

  • Why Life Groups?

The Lord has created us to be in community with one another! We believe that the best way to do this in the church is through Life Groups. Life Groups are a place where everyone can belong.

  • What do Life Groups do?

Each Life Group is unique, but all worship God, study His Word, pray for one another, and find opportunities to serve and grow.

  • Which Life Group should I join?

Great question! Check out a list of our current life groups here.

  • Who can attend a Life Group?

Everybody is invited. Join a group with your spouse, a friend, or a neighbor.

  • What is the commitment when I join a Life Group?

Joining a Life Group involves making a commitment to attend. Most Life Groups meet weekly and just aren't the same without you there!

  • When and where do Life Groups meet?

Most Life Groups meet on Briarlake Church's campus, but we do have a few that meet in homes.

  • How do I sign up for a Life Group?

First, we want you to check out the groups! Come and visit us on a Sunday, then pray about it! Life Groups start at 9:45 AM on Sundays. Once you've visited Life Groups and feel like you are ready to join a group, contact the Life Group leader, and they can walk you through the process to become a member of that Life Group.

  • What about children and students?

Since most of our Life Groups are on campus, we would love to connect your children to the Briarlake Kids Ministry and Student Ministry. Briarlake Kids Life Groups and Briarlake Student Life Groups meet at the same time as adult life groups.

For a group that meets off campus, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Life Group leader to see what childcare is available.

  • What if the Life Group I join doesn’t fit me?

Life Groups grow together. We suggest that you try a group for at least 3 weeks before deciding to visit other groups. If you decide, at that point, that you need to find a better fit, you are welcome to visit another group. We have many life groups available, and they are always welcoming new members!

Men's

Discipleship

The Briarlake men's ministry seeks to create men who gather in community, grow more Christlike through discipleship, and go out lovingly to serve others. Our goal is for our men to be living proof of a loving God to a watching world, building relationships and making a positive impact for the Kingdom of God.

SPECIAL NEEDS

Briarlake Church is a church with a heart and a place for everyone regardless of their physical or mental abilities.

The Little Light of Mine life group meets at 9:30am - Room 271.

A variety of activities are planned each week. Students enjoy singing and signing songs, memorizing scripture, and learning names of the books of the Bible.   After sharing praise and prayer concerns, the class finishes with a Bible lesson and craft time.  In addition, Little Light of Mine members participate in local and global mission projects monthly.

We also have a variety of events for folks with special needs. To find out what events are happening, see our calendar of events or reach out to the church office.
